Die Ursprünge der plastischen Chirurgie lassen sich über mehr als zwei Jahrtausende
zurückverfolgen. Schriftliche Zeugnisse sind bekannt geworden, die bereits wesentliche
Leitsätze rekonstruktiver Eingriffe enthalten.
Anhand einiger ausgewählter Behandlungsformen und der Schilderung herausragender Leistungen
wird ein Überblick über die lange Entwicklung der Rhinoplastik vermittelt.
Summary
The story of reconstructive rhinoplasty begins two thousand years ago. Documents from
the old Egypt and India provide us with the knowledge of reconstructive surgery of
the nose.
Based on few examples through the history, we present here an overview on the development
of reconstructive rhinoplasty.
