Tympanoplastik und Ohrgeräusche

Zusammenfassung

181 Patienten mit Cholesteatom- oder Schleimhauteiterung wurden nach Tinnitus befragt. Bei einem Drittel dieses Patientenkollektivs wurde im Zusammenhang mit einer Tympanoplastik ein Ohrgeräusch bemerkt. In dieser Patientengruppe mit Tinnitus verschwand ein präoperatives Geräusch wieder in einem Drittel der Fälle nach der Tympanoplastik, bei einem Drittel blieb es unverändert nach Tympanoplastik bestehen und bei einem Drittel trat es erst nach der Tympanoplastik in Erscheinung.

Summary

One third out of 181 patients who had been operated for a chronic otitis, had tinnitus. In one third of these patients with tinnitus the ear noise disappeared after the tympanoplasty, in one third it remained unchanged and in one third the tinnitus appeared after the tympanoplasty.
