Summary

A now 14-year-old boy underwent orthotopic heart transplantation at the age of 13 for anthracycline cardiomyopathy which was a sequela of polychemotherapy for embryonal teratocarcinoma at the ago of 1 year. Despite perioperative cerebellar infaretion with signs of herniation which required emergency right cerebellar homispherectomy the long-term course after 18 months turned out to be favorable with complete medical and psychosocial rohabilitation.

Zusammenfassung

Ein jetzt 14jähriger Junge wurde im Alter von 13 Jahren wegen einer Anthracyclin-Kardiomyopathio herztransplantiert, die die Folge einer Polychemotherapie wegen eines embryonalen Teratokarzinoms im Alter von 1 Jahr war. Trotz einer perioperativen Kleinhirninfarzierung mit Einklemmung, die eine notfallmäßige Zorebellumteilresektion erforderlich machte, war der Langzeitverlauf nach 18 Monaten mit vollständiger medizinischer und psychosozialer Rehabilitation sehr zufriedenstellend.
