Abstract

Dexamethasone Suppression Test (DST) was given to 30 depressed and 30 schizophrenic patients. 10 depressed patients (33%) and 6 schizophrenics (20%) showed abnormal DST; the difference was not statistically significant. The DST-positive and DST-negative patients did not differ significantly in the total scores on anxiety-depression factor of the BPRS, either in the group of depressed patients or in schizophrenics.

Zusammenfassung

Der Dexamethason-Suppressionstest (DST) wurde an 30 Patienten mit Depression und an 30 schizophrenen Patienten untersucht. Unter den Patienten mit Depression waren 10 (33%) und unter den schizophrenen Patienten 6 (20 %) mit abnormem DSTBefund; der Unterschied ist nicht signifikant. Es fand sich weder unter der Gruppe der Depressiven noch der Schizophrenen ein signifikanter Unterschied zwischen DST-positiven und DST- negativen Patienten bezüglich der Gesamtpunktzahl des Angst-Depression-Faktors der BPRS.
