In 5 patients with common bile duct stones a dissolution therapy with the octanoate
mixture Capmul 8210 was performed using the transpapillary perfusion technique. In
3 out of the 5 cases a passage of the stones without further endoscopic operative
procedures could be achieved. Complaints were endurable except in one case. Further
studies to dissolve common bile duct stones with a modified Capmul solution via a
transpapillary tube seem justified.
