Summary
A surgical technique for the repair of a calcified patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) during open heart surgery for associated intracardiac lesions is described. This procedure of transpulmonary artery closure of a PDA is a simple operative technique which can be quickly and safely performed and may be the method of choice for closure of a short, calcified PDA during open heart surgery for asscociated intracardiac lesions through an anterior midsternotomy incision.
