Summary

A case of an infected suture line aneurysm following patch repair of a recoarctation is reported. Management of this serious complication consisted of the implantation of an ascending aorta to abdominal aorta bypass and suture ligation of the thoracic aorta. The 11-year-old boy remains asymptomatic one year postoperatively.
