Summary

A technique for closure of right atriotomy is described. In 710 consecutive cases operated on ECC (1977 to 1981), a modified inverting Connell suture has been used. This technique has allowed control of undesirable bleeding, reduction of pericardial adhesions and improvement of the physical appearance.
