Behandlung eines extraneural metastasierten Medulloblastoms

Abstract

We report a patient with a history of a previously treated medulloblastoma, now presenting with generalized ossear metastases. Currently there is a complete remission under continuous therapy with VP-16. Since the frequency of systemic metastases in patients with medulloblastoma is approximately 5%, we recommand a more extensive initial evaluation in these patients.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über einen Patienten berichtet, bei dem 2œ Jahre nach Behandlung eines Medulloblastoms eine generalisierte ossäre Metastasierung auftrat. Der Patient ist unter laufender zytostatischer Behandlung mit VP-16 seit einem Jahr in anhaltender Vollremission. Bei einer Häufigkeit von 5% systemischer Medulloblastom-Metastasen wird eine erweiterte Basisdiagnostik bei Medulloblastom-Patienten vorgeschlagen.
