Der Wolf wurde wegen seiner Kraft und seines Mutes sowie für seine Ausdauer und Schnelligkeit
geschätzt. Er ist das natürliche Symbol für Nacht, Winter und Tod sowie der Wandlung
überhaupt. Im christlichen Raum gilt er als Inkarnation des Bösen, des Widersachers
schlechthin und steht für die niedere Raubtiernatur der Triebe. Der Hund symbolisiert
das Dienen, aber auch Führung, Schutz, Loyalität und Heilung. Als treuer Gefährte
des Menschen begleitet er uns in allen Lebenslagen und gilt als Hüter der Schwellen,
der Übergänge zum Unbewussten und ins Jenseits.
Summary
The wolf is appreciated due to its prowess, endurance and fast speed. It naturally
symbolises night, winter and passing on and indeed metamorphism. In Christian regions,
it is an incarnation of evil and therefore regarded as an opponent. In the natural
stratification of carnivores based on instinct, the wolf takes a lower ranking. On
the contrary, the dog symbolises service as well as conduct, protection, loyalty and
healing. The dog is a faithful companion of humans, accompanies us in all life situations,
protects the sleeping master and facilitates the transition into the unconscious and
even beyond.
