Abstract
Olive oil and sunflower oil (0.25 ml/100g/day) orally produced significant decrease in serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels in cholesterol-fed rats. Sunflower oil initially increased cholesterol and triglyceride levels and then decreased them to below normal values whereas olive oil decreased them throughout the experimental period of one month.
