Abstract

From flowering plants of Penstemon pinifolius two acetophenone glucosides have been isolated and structurally elucidated as picein (4-hydroxyacetophenon-β-D-glucopyranoside) and androsin (4-hydroxy-3-methoxyacetophenon-β-D-glucopyranoside) mainly by spectroscopie methods.
