Abstract
In the previous paper, we reported that the non-sugar fraction was found to reduce plasma insulin without elevating plasma glucose in glucose tolerance test. Active substances isolated from the non-sugar fraction were a mixture of 3,4-dimethoxy phenyl-O-D-glucoside and 3,4,6-trimethoxy phenyl-O-D-glucoside (BS-1). It was also found that BS-1 reduced plasma insulin without elevating plasma glucose.
