Abstract

From Echinocereus blanckii the cardiotonic amines 3,4-dimethoxyphenethylamine (2) and N′,N′-dimethylhistamine (3) have been isolated by preparative ionpair-HPLC. Compound (3) has been isolated for the first time from the Cactaceae family.
