Innerhalb einer Klinik machen der personelle und materielle Aufwand des OP-Bereiches einen erheblichen Anteil der Gesamtkosten der Behandlung für die chirurgische Versorgung von stationären und insbesondere ambulanten Patienten aus. Während der personelle Aufwand durch den Zeitenrapport der medizinischen Dokumentation gut nachvollziehbar ist, ist die genaue Erfassung der Materialkosten bislang vielerorts wegen strukturellen Hürden und des gefürchteten Aufwandes vernachlässigt worden. Durch die neuen betriebswirtschaftlichen Erfordernisse, die sich in erster Linie aus dem DRG-Abrechnungsverfahren ableiten, ist aber eine dezidierte Aufschlüsselung der Implantat- und Materialkosten dringend erforderlich. Dabei muss der Aufwand für die Erfassung aber im Verhältnis zum Nutzen stehen, und eine einfache Bedienbarkeit durch jeden Mitarbeiter, und somit ein geringer Fehlerquotient bei der Datensammlung zur Voraussetzung haben.

While the personnel expenditure can be well assessed by the timesheets of medical documentation, an exact determination of the material costs has been neglected on account of structural barriers and the anticipated expenditure. However, due to the recent economic necessities that arise, above all, from the DRG cost reimbursement System, a precise differentiation of implant and material costs is urgently needed. Prerequisites for this are that the expenditure for assessment must remain in a reasonable relationship to its use and that the methods must be easily usable by all personnel, thus ensuring a low error quotient in the data collection.
