Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is a rare cause of myocardial infarction [1], [2]. Coronary artery dissection can be classified into two groups: primary and secondary. Spread of the aortic dissection through the coronary ostia, damage during coronary angiography or percutaneous coronary interventions, surgical procedures and trauma can cause secondary coronary dissection [3]. Primary spontaneous coronary artery dissection can be seen in the setting of atherosclerosis, pregnancy and the early postpartum period, or may be idiopathic [2], [4]. In this report we present a case with spontaneous coronary dissection, a rare disease with a devastating outcome.
