ABSTRACT
The presence of fetal heart rate (FHR) accelerations is considered a sign of fetal well-being. Fetal body and breathing movements, as visualized by real-time ultrasound, were correlated to FHR accelerations in 16 high-risk pregnancies. The association between FHR accelerations (> 15 beats/min lasting 15 sec or more) and the different fetal behavioral states is described.
