Abstract

The cooperative study COALL-80 is devived from the BFM-78-study. The aim of the study is a reduction of the initial therapy-morbidity and -mortality without loss of efficacy by omitting asparaginase from the four drug-induction regimen and interponing it between induction- and ZNS-therapy phase. The expected two years disease free survival rate of a pilot study will be 82%. This finding is hitherto comparible with the BFM-study results.

Zusammenfassung

Die kooperative Studie COALL-80 leitet sich von der BFM-78-Studie ab. Ihr Ziel ist eine Reduktion der initialen Therapiemorbidität und -mortalität ohne Erfolgsverlust durch Herausnahme der Asparaginase aus der initialen Viermitteltherapie und ihre Plazierung zwischen Induktions- und ZNS-Phase. Die präliminaren Ergebnisse einer ersten Pilot-Studie lassen eine 2 Jahre rezidivfreie Überlebensrate von 82% erwarten. Sie sind soweit mit den Ergebnissen der BFM-Studie vergleichbar.
