Zusammenfassung

Vor allem in der Traumatologie, aber auch gelegentlich in der Orthopädie, gibt es Läsionen des Bewegungsapparates, die mit den bekannten konservativen oder operativen Methoden nicht gut zu stabilisieren sind. Anwendung einer AO-Platte als Fixateur externe ist eine gute Alternative in Ausnahmefällen.

Die Technik wird anhand einiger Beispiele besprochen.

Abstract

There are severe bony lesions in trauma and orthopedic surgery which are difficult to stabilize with all the well known methods. The use of a ASIF-plate applied as an external fixation can be a good alternative in exceptional situations.

Those cases are discussed.
