Bone Puncture Proximal to the Joint (Forage) as Possible Treatment for Joint PainPublication History

Abstract
A report on bone puncture (forage) in proximity to the joint in refractory shoulder pain. Indication and technique.
Puncture is performed in patients suffering from omarthrosis, arthritis and periarthropathy. It is suspected that intraosseous increased pressure is a contributing factor to the development of arthrosis and that it can be relieved by means of the cutting operation described here. Patients suffering from night pain and pain at rest respond best to this surgical treatment.
