Abstract
Chondrocalcinosis is caused by a metabolic disorder of the ubiquitous pyrophosphate
ion. If calcium pyrophosphate is deposited in the tendinous tissue that is subject
to severe functional strain, a destructive chondrocalcinosis fibropathy may result.
In this regard the article describes a case with postmortem findings in which chondrocalcinosis
was seen to be associated with rupture of the rotator cuff.
Zusammenfassung
Der Chondrokalzinose liegt eine Stoffwechselstörung des ubiquitären Pyrophosphations
zugrunde. Schlägt sich Kalziumpyrophosphat in Sehnengewebe nieder, das starker funktioneller
Belastung ausgesetzt ist, so kann es zur destruktiven Chondrokalzinose-Fibropathie
kommen. In diesem Sinne wird eine Fallbeobachtung mit Autopsie geschildert, bei der
die Chondrokalzinose mit Ruptur der Rotatorenmanschette einhergeht.
