Über den Plasmaaustausch bei chronischer Polyarthritis

Abstract

Since 1980, nineteen patients with classical rheumatoid arthritis, according to the ARA criteria, were treated by plasmapheresis. Four patients received the plasma exchange once, ten patients twice and four patients three times. After six to twenty-four hours a significant positive response with decrease of blood sedimentation rate was obtained. Nine patients were treated after the plasma exchange with 600 mg cyclophosphamid. In twelve patients a positive therapeutic effect was obtained.

Zusammenfassung

Seit 1980 wurden 19 Patienten mit klassischer chronischer Polyarthritis einer Plasmaaustauschbehandlung zugeführt. Bei 4 Patienten erfolgte der Plasmaaustausch einmal, bei 10 Patienten zweimal und bei 5 Patienten dreimal. 6 bis 24 Stunden nach jeder Plasmapherese kam es zu einer deutlichen Regression der entzündlichen Gelenkssymptome und der Blutsenkung. Bei 9 Patienten wurden zusätzlich 600 mg Cyclophosphamid unmittelbar im Anschluß an den Plasmaaustausch verabreicht. Insgesamt konnten 12 Patienten positiv beurteilt werden.
