Abstract

A case of ankylosing spondylitis and incomplete distal renal tubular acidosis (RTA) with nephrocalcinosis is reported. The classification of these cases in the group of distal RTA in immunologic diseases is discussed. The authors reflect on the pathogenesis and diagnosis of the distal RTA. The importance of the therapeutical consequences (alkali therapy) for the course of the disease is emphasised.

Zusammenfassung

Über einen Fall mit M. Bechterew (Spondylitis ankylosans) und inkompletter distaler renaler tubulärer Azidose (RTA) mit Nephrokalzinose wird berichtet. Eine Einordnung dieses Falles in die Gruppe der distalen RTA bei immunologischen Erkrankungen wird erörtert. Überlegungen zur Pathogenese und Diagnose der distalen RTA werden angestellt. Die Bedeutung der therapeutischen Konsequenzen (Alkalizufuhr) für den weiteren Krankheitsverlauf wird hervorgehoben.
