Gastroskopische Beurteilung der Magenverträglichkeit von Piroxicam

Abstract

40 patients with different rheumatic diseases and normal findings on gastroscopy received piroxicam in a dosage of 30 mg. Follow-up gastroscopy was performed after two weeks of medication. Pathological findings were seen in 6 patients, and medication was discontinued in 2 cases. Patients with subjective complaints and normal gastroscopy findings were observed, as well as patients with an endoscopically positive examination result although they had no subjective complaints.

Among the NSAR, piroxicam is a preparation which is relatively well tolerated by the stomach.

Zusammenfassung

40 Patienten mit unterschiedlichen rheumatischen Erkrankungen und unauffälligem Gastroskopiebefund erhielten Piroxicam in einer Dosierung von 30 mg. Nach 2wöchiger Medikation wurde eine Kontrollgastroskopie durchgeführt. Bei 6 Patienten wurden pathologische Befunde erhoben, in 2 Fällen erfolgte ein Abbruch der Medikation. Beobachtet wurden sowohl Patienten mit subjektiven Beschwerden und unauffälligem Gastroskopiebefund und auch Patienten mit endoskopisch positivem Befund bei subjektiver Beschwerdefreiheit.

Unter den NSAR zählt Piroxicam zu den besser magenverträglichen Pharmaka.
