Zusammenfassung

Im Falle eines osteogenen Sarkoms wurden die Möglichkeiten der Chemotherapiekontrolle durch 31Phosphorspektroskopie mit den Resultaten bildgebender Verfahren (DSA, MRT, konventionelles Röntgen) verglichen. Während bei den zuletzt genannten Methoden ein verläßlicher Parameter zum Nachweis des Proliferationszustandes des Tumorgewebes unter Therapie nicht zur Verfügung steht, deutet sich mit der Bestimmung der Konzentration energiereicher Phosphate im Tumorvolumen die Möglichkeit eines direkten Nachweises von Tumorstoffwechsel an.

Summary

31-phosphorus spectroscopy was used to control the results of chemotherapy in a patient with an osteogenic sarcoma. The findings were compared with conventional imaging methods (DSA, MRT and conventional radiography). The imaging methods do not provide reliable information regarding growth of tumour tissue during treatment, whereas the determination of phosphate concentration in the tumour provides direct information concerning tumour metabolism.
