Zusammenfassung

Es wurde untersucht, wie sich ein Nervenschrittmacher zur Stimulation der Karotis-Sinus-Nerven im Kernspintomograph verhält und ob man einem Implantatträger diese Untersuchung zumuten kann. Es ergaben sich keine Hinweise auf eine mögliche Schädigung des Patienten und des Implantates. Das Implantat verursacht beträchtliche Artefakte in der Bildgebung.

Summary

The effect of MR on pacemakers used to stimulate the carotid sinus and on patients with pacemakers has been investigated. There was no evidence of any harm to the patient or the implant. The implant caused considerable artifacts on the images.
