Zusammenfassung
Das Ziel der Umfrage war es, herauszufinden, welche diagnostischen und therapeutischen
Maßnahmen im Bereich der Augen von Hausärzten in einem Landkanton durchgeführt werden.
Zu diesem Zweck wurde ein Fragebogen an sämtliche Hausärzte im Kt. Thurgau verschickt
und von 68% beantwortet.
Die Resultate basieren ausschließlich auf den Angaben der Hausärzte. Praktisch alle
führen routinemäßig die basalen Untersuchungsmethoden durch und behandeln banale Affektionen
wie Fremdkörper im Auge oder Bindehaut- und Lidentzündungen. Einige nehmen auch ergänzende
Untersuchungen vor und sind therapeutisch breiter tätig. Die Häufigkeit der Patienten
mit Augenaffektionen wird mit ca. 3% des Patientengutes angegeben.
Summary
The goal of the survey reported here was to determine the extent to which general
practitioners in a rural canton diagnose and treat ocular conditions and diseases.
To this end, a question-naire was sent to all general practitioners in the Canton
of Thurgau. It was completed and returned by 68% of them. The resutls are based exclusively
on the information furnished by the practitioners. Practically all of them routinely
perform basic examinations and treat minor disorders such as foreign bodies in the
eye, conjunctivities, and lid inflammations. Some of them also perform additional
examinations and treat a wider range of ailments. According to the information supplied,
approximately 3% of all patients seen have ocular complaints.
