Zusammenfassung
Es wird die Histopathologic des Keratoconus posticus circumscriptus beschrieben. Nach elektronenmikroskopischen Untersuchungen dürfte eine Entwicklungsanomalie der Hornhaut vorliegen. Dafür sprechen die Zellverbindungen zwischen den basalen Epithelzellen (gap-junctions) und die Größenunterschiede der kollagenen Fasern (Durchmesser 10-30nm). Die Störung der Fibrillogenese wird durch Degeneration der Stromazellen verursacht.
Summary
The histopathology of keratoconus posticus circumscriptus is described. On the basis of electron microscopic studies a corneal development anomaly may be suspected. This hypothesis is also supported by the intercellular junctions (gap junctions) between the basal epithelial cells and the differences in the diameters of the collagen fibers (10-30 nm). The disturbance in fibrillogenesis is the result of stromal cell degeneration.
