Berofor^® Alpha 2 (r-Hu IFN-alpha 2 arg) und Aciclovir in der Behandlung der Herpes-Keratitis-dendritica

Zusammenfassung

In einer doppelt maskierten Studie wurden bis jetzt insgesamt 24 Herpes-Keratitis-dendritica-Patienten mit einem rekombinanten Alpha 2-Interferon (Berofor^® Alpha 2 (r-Hu IFN-alpha 2 arg)) in Kombination mit Aciclovir (ACV) und 21 Patienten mit Placebo und ACV behandelt. Die Zeit bis zur teilweisen wie bis zur vollständigen Heilung war in der Verumgruppe mit 35 und 32% statistisch signifikant verkürzt. Es waren keine Unterschiede im therapeutischen Effekt zwischen der Kombination von r-Hu IFN-alpha 2 arg mit AVC und der von BCL-IFN mit ACV nachweisbar. r-Hu IFN-alpha 2-Augen-tropfen waren, in Kombination mit Aciclovir-Salbe verabfolgt, sehr gut verträglich.

Summary

In a double-masked clinical trial a total of 24 patients have so far been treated with recombinant human alpha 2-interferon in combination with Aciclovir (ACV), and 21 patients with a placebo-Aciclovir combination. Both partial and complete healing times were statistically significantly shortened in the r-Hu IFN-alpha 2-AVC group, by 35 and 32 percent respectively. No difference could be demonstrated between the combination of r-Hu IFN-alpha 2 arg and ACV and that of BCL I FN and ACV as far as the therapeutic effect was concerned. R-Hu IFN-alpha 2 drops in combination with Aciclovir ointment were excellently tolerated.
