Zusammenfassung
Unter 2987 Patienten, die im Zeitraum von 1969 bis 1980 wegen einer lumbalen Diskushernie
operiert wurden, befanden sich 26 jugendliche Patienten in einem Alter bis zu 20 Jahren,
das entspricht einem Anteil von 0,87%. Das durchschnittliche Alter bei Operation betrug
17,3 Jahre, die jüngste Patientin war 12 Jahre alt. 21 Patienten wurden in einem Beobachtungszeitraum
von 1 bis 12 Jahren nachuntersucht. Die postoperativen Ergebnisse sowie Besonderheiten
in der Ätiologie und Symptomatik werden diskutiert.
Abstract
Among 2987 patients operated on for lumbar disc protrusion between 1969 and 1980 twenty-six
adolescents up to the age of twenty years have been found. This corresponds to 0.87
per cent. The average age at operation was 17.3 years, the youngest patient had twelve
years. Twenty-one patients have been followed up for one to twelve years. The postoperative
results as well as special details as to etiology and symptoms are discussed.
