Das Schicksal der Kniescheibe nach einer Knieprothese, unter Berücksichtigung der „Patella plasty“

Zusammenfassung

Nach der Implantation einer Knieprothese hängt das Schicksal der Patella überwiegend vom Grad der Retropatellararthrose, Beschaffenheit der Fossa patellaris femoris und der angewandten Operation zur Behandlung der Femoropatellararthrose ab. Die “Patella plasty” zur Behandlung einer Retropatellararthrose als Alternative zu einer Patellarprothese ergab bei 34 von 43 Patienten gute bis sehr gute Resultate. Dieses Verfahren ist außerdem mit keinen Komplikationen belastet und versperrt nicht einen Rückzug zu einer evtl. später erforderlichen Patellaprothese.

Abstract

The follow-up of patella using knee prosthesis depends on the followings: a) advancement of femoropatellar arthrosis, b) shape and kind of surface of the fossa patellaris femoris, c) kind of knee prosthesis. To treat the patella arthrosis patella plasty is a good alternative to a patella prosthesis. This has been noticed by good or very good results 34 Patients out of 43. It has no complications and does not prevent the use of patella prosthesis if necessary.
