Summary
The case of a male patient with a macroprolactinoma is presented. Within a follow up period of six months the tumor had spontaneously shrunken without any therapy. The causes of this phenomenon are discussed in the following paper.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird über die spontane Schrumpfung eines Makroprolaktinoms bei einem männlichen Patienten berichtet. Die Ursache dieses Phänomens wird einerseits in der asymptomatischen spontanen Infarzierung des Tumors gesucht, andererseits wird die hypothetische Rolle der Knoblauchingestion diskutiert.
