A case of a five-year-old boy with Moebius syndrome, mild-moderate mental retardation
and childhood psychosis (possibly infantile autism) is described. This is probably
the first case ever of concomitant Moebius syndrome and childhood psychosis to be
reported. Brainstem dysfunction is proposed as a common denominator in the neurologic
and psychiatric syndrome.
