Zusammenfassung

Bei 737 sonographischen und computertomographischen Untersuchungen an Patientinnen im Alter von 18 bis 60 Jahren wurde in 7 Fällen (0,95 %) eine Ektasie der linken Ovarialvene gefunden. Die Ätiologie und fakultative klinische Relevanz im Rahmen des sogenannten „Kompressionssyndroms der linken Nierenvene” werden diskutiert; auf die diagnostische Möglichkeit der Sonographie in der Abklärung dieses Krankheitsbildes wird hingewiesen.

Summary

Amongst 737 sonographie and CT examinations of women aged 18 to 60 years of age, seven cases of ectasia of the left ovarian vein were found (0.95 %). The aetiology and significance of this finding in the context of the „compression syndrome of the left renal vein” are discussed. The value to sonography in elucidating this condition is stressed.
