Der Einfluß einer weichen Permanentkontaktlinse wegen einseitiger Aphakie auf das Binokularsehen

Untersucht wurde das Binokularsehen bei Patienten, die wegen einseitiger Aphakie eine weiche, hydrophile (70%) Kontaktlinse permanent getragen hatten. Nach zwei Jahren fand sich in 88% der Falle Orthophorie, gute Fusion in 89% und stereoskopisches Sehen bei 75% der Patienten. Diese Resultate waren viel besser als bei einer Gruppe mit 55 Patienten mit einseitiger Aphakie, die ihre Linse nur stundenweise täglich getragen haben.

Summary

Binocular vision was examined in a group of 50 patients who had worn 70% hydrophilic contact lenses permanently to correct unilateral aphakia. After two years 88% of the patients had orthophoria, 89% good fusion and 75% stereoscopic vision. These results were much better than in a group of 55 patients with unilateral aphakia who had only worn their lenses for hours at a time.
