Zusammenfassung

Das Auftreten von 2 Hartmetall-Lungen in einem Hartmetallwerk wird als Anlaß genommen, um diese selten auftretende Berufserkrankung zu publizieren. Es wird auf die Technologie der Hartmetalle, ihre Herstellung und Bearbeitung eingegangen, wobei die Staubexposition in den verschiedenen Abteilungen berücksichtigt wird. Nach einem historischen Rückblick wird die klinische und röntgenologische Symptomatik von 2 Fällen ausführlich besprochen sowie prognostische, differentialdiagnostische und arbeitsrechtliche Probleme diskutiert.

Summary

The occurrence of two cases of metal penumoconiosis in a metal works has been used to draw attention to this rare occupational disease. The technology for the manufacture and precessing is described with special reference to dust exposure at the various stages. After an historical review, there is a detailed discussion of the clinical and radiological features of the two cases. Problems concerning the prognosis, differential diagnosis and the laws concerning compensation are discussed.
