Zusammenfassung

Anhand von 4 Fallbeispielen wird der Einsatz der Computertomographie zur Diagnose einer zentralen Makroembolie der Lunge diskutiert. Der computertomographische Nachweis der pulmonalen Thrombembolie ist auf die Makroembolie der zentralen Pulmonalisäste beschränkt. In diesen Fällen liefert die Computertomographie die gewünschte Information und macht eine Pulmonalisangiographie überflüssig.

Summary

The CT findings of 4 patients suffering from pulmonary embolism are discussed. The detection of an embolus to the lung is limited to the main pulmonary trunc, the left and right pulmonary artery. The clinical important information can be obtained by means of CT, angiography can be avoided under the above mentioned circumstances.
