Abstract
Selective pulmonary angiography continues to be considered the gold standard for the diagnosis of pulmonary arterial abnormalities. In spite of the introduction of newer modalities, pulmonary arteriography remains a standard to which these modalities are held. Although pulmonary embolism is the most frequent indication for pulmonary angiography, pulmonary arteriography demonstrates diagnostic findings in many other pulmonary conditions. The angiographic findings of pulmonary embolism as well as inflammatory, neoplastic, congenital, and various miscellaneous conditions are discussed and illustrated.
