Abstract
Renal MR angiography has advanced tremendously in the past several years and it can now accurately evaluate patients suspected of renal artery stenosis. There are many techniques available that provide information about kidney morphology, renal arterial anatomy, and blood flow. Many of these techniques provide complementary information. This article reviews some of the more common techniques, illustrates how several sequences can be combined into a comprehensive examination, and presents examples of renal vascular pathology.
