Abstract

DCL can be greatly bolstered by DCA in diagnosis and management of hemorrhage. The minimally invasive nature of DCA and the relative ease with which it accesses most sites of bleeding combine to make it a most valuable adjunct to DCL. In selected cases, DCA is superior to DCL and should precede it or replace it.
