Abstract

This article describes the importance and efficacy of pressure measurements for the detection and correction of stenoses and hemodialysis grafts. Pressure measurements as a guide to percutaneous intervention and as a determinant of the endpoint of intervention are described. The authors detail the use of hemodynamic measurements not only to provide an endpoint for intervention but also to help separate out those patients with significant stenoses that require intervention.
