Abstract

While percutaneous gastrostomy has become a routine procedure in most radiological practices, there has always been a concern about performance of this procedure in the postoperative stomach. This particular article outlines in detail the selection of patients, the appropriate technique, and the use of gastropexy devices that can be used in this type of patient. The specific anatomy that needs to be understood and the approach to different anatomical variations of the stomach are described.
