Abstract

The authors present seven cases of primary tumours of the thyroid in young children (6 cancer, 1 Burkitt's lymphosarcoma) observed between 1968 and 1980.
Using recent literature as a basis, diagnostic difficulties, surgical and radiotherapy treatment and the prognosis of these tumours are examined.

Zusammenfassung

Die Autoren berichten über 7 Fälle von Primärtumoren der Schilddrüse bei jungen Kindern (6 Karzinome, 1 Burkitt-Lymphosarkom), die zwischen 1968 und 1980 beobachtet wurden. Auf der Grundlage der neueren Literatur werden die diagnostischen Schwierigkeiten, die operative und radiotherapeutische Behandlung und die Prognose dieser Tumoren dargelegt.
