Zusammenfassung

Berichtet wird über eine Erhöhung der enzymatisch und immunologisch (RIA) gemessenen sauren Prostataphosphatase bei einem jungen Mann mit bakterieller Prostatitis. Der klinische Verlauf der Erkrankung und der Verlauf der Enzymaktivitäten während des Beobachtungszeitraumes unter Langzeitantibiotikatherapie werden dargestellt und differentialdiagnostische Aspekte kurz erörtert.

Abstract

Reported is the case history of a young patient suffering from bacterial prostatitis with markedly elevated level of prostate specific acid phosphatase. The clinical course of the disease and the enzyme activities during long-term antibacterial treatment are presented and aspects of differential diagnosis are shortly discussed.
