Abstract

The extent of medical care of seriously injured children at the scene of the accident is not satisfactory. The reason for this is uncertainty among the general public as to which injuries call for the emergency doctor. Since the Central Directory for Life-Saving has been established, the percentage of children treated under emergency conditions at the scene of the accident has almost tripled in the Saar area.

Zusammenfassung

Das Ausmaß der ärztlichen Versorgung schwerverletzter Kinder am Unfallort ist unbefriedigend. Ursache ist die Unsicherheit der Bevölkerung, bei welcher Verletzung ein Notarzt gerufen werden sollte. Seit Einrichtung der Zentralen Rettungsleitstelle konnte im Saarland der Anteil der am Unfallort notärztlich erstversorgten Kinder nahezu verdreifacht werden.
