Zusammenfassung

Die beschriebene Technik bei der Physiotherapie pulmonaler Komplikationen in der Neugeborenenperiode hat sich bewährt. Wie an unserem Beispiel demonstriert wurde, führt die Anwendung der Physiotherapie zu einer beschleunigten Rückbildung von Atelektasen und Bronchopneumonien. Wir möchten somit feststellen, dass die Durchführung physiotherapeutischer Maßnahmen in der Intensivpflege Früh- und Neugeborener erfolgversprechend ist. Es ist zu überlegen, ob die Physiotherapie bei extrem unreifen Frühgeborenen nicht erst bei Auftreten pulmonaler Komplikationen, sondern schon prophylaktisch einzusetzen ist.

Summary

The technique described in the physiotherapy of pulmonary complications in the neonatal period stood the test. As was demonstrated at our instance the use of physiotherapy leads to an accelerated involution of atelectases and bronchopneumonias. Thus we may establish that the performance of physiotherapeutic measures in the intensive care of premature infants and newborn is promising. It must be thought over, whether the physiotherapy in extremely immature premature infants should be used not only wlien pulmonary complications appear, but also prophylactically.
