Zusammenfassung

Untersuchungen an zwölf Patienten mit belastungsinduziertem Asthma bronchiale ergaben eine protektive Wirkung sowohl von Anticholinergika als auch des mastzellenstabilisierenden Cromoglykats. β2-Sympathikomimetika stellen nach unseren Erfahrungen die zuverlässigsten Pharmaka zur Prophylaxe und kurativen Behandlung des belastungsinduzierten Asthma bronchiale dar; sie haben in jedem der zwölf untersuchten Fälle die asthmatische Reaktion verhindert und bei weiteren 23 Probanden nach eingetretener starker Bronchialobstruktion zu einem hochsignifikanten Abfall des Atemwegswiderstandes geführt.

Abstract

Both anticholinergic drugs and mast-cell stabilizing cromoglycate had a protective effect in 12 patients with exercise-induced bronchial asthma. (β2-Sympathomimetic drugs provided the most reliable means of prevention and cure. They prevented the asthmatic reaction in all 12 patients, while in a further 23 they provided highly significant decrease in airway resistance after severe bronchial obstruction had set in.
