Abstract

Stimulating drugs belonging to 50 species of Angiospermeae are tested for phagocytic activity of the reticulo endothelial system in mice inoculated with Escherichia coli. 30 samples show activity-through intraperitoneal route. This activity is frequently associated with lipophilic constituents of the insaponifiable fraction and occurs specially in vulnerary and skin healing drugs.
