Ein autologer Shunt sollte, wenn möglich, autolog revidiert werden. Dies gilt auch für die Revision einer Drainagestörung. Entscheidend ist in jedem Fall der Erhalt der Punktionsstrecke. Eine Drainagestörung im Anschluss an die Punktionsstrecke, die nicht mit Erhalt der Shuntvene korrigierbar ist, kann in geeigneten Fällen durch Transposition einer Drainagevene zur Shuntvene autolog korrigiert werden.
An autologous shunt should be reconstructed autologously if possible. This is also valid in case of the revision of a failing drainage. The in situ conservation of the puncture area is essential in any case. If the shunt vein after the punctured segment can not be reconstructed, transposition of a drainage vein enables the autologous reconstruction of the shunt function in suitable cases.
