Zusammenfassung
Hintergrund: Die Prävalenz der idiopathischen intrakranialen Druckerhöhung ist im Kindesalter bei Übergewichtigen erhöht.
Falldarstellung: Bei einem extrem adipösen, 15 Jahre alten Jugendlichen mit Kopfschmerzen und Doppelbildern waren alle Symptome unter der Therapie mit Acetazolamid rückläufig.
Abstract
Background: The prevalence of idiopathic intracranial hypertension is increased in overweight children and adolescents.
Case report: In a fifteen-year old, extremely obese adolescent with a history of headache and diplopia treatment with acetazolamide resulted in relief of the neurological symptoms.
